I Know What You Did Last Summer

Hey guys, I received a scary letter this morning...

Before I tell you the content of the letter, lets talk about the very popular 90s movie "I know what you did last summer". The movie followed the lives of four friends that had a summer they begged to forget, one that tore down the walls of their friendship -- after they mistakenly ran over a man, and dumped his dead body hoping no one saw them.... But just as life has it, a year later they realised maybe their little secret wasn't so secret.

I want to believe this is not a movie spoiler, as I don't think I know anyone that hasn't watched the horror movie that made our teenage days (assuming you are in my generation -- If you are still in your teenage years, lets swap ages please :( I want to be 19 again).

Back to September 2017, I got a letter this morning-- It said in bold red letters "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER".
As a Nigerian that I am nah, the first thing I thought was "what is this one saying? Hiss" The second question that came to mind was "which summer sef? 2016 or 2017 summer?" Finally, I concluded that "This one must be mad" And so, I tore the letter and continued unpacking my luggages that have been sitting in my living room for the past three days 🙈🙈🙈

Please ignore the amala wraps and focus on the luggages on the ground -- who am I kidding? Scope the amala wraps
Okay, I agree, I did not get any letter, but if I did, I would have made exactly the same comments, and torn the paper, but if it was during a period when I have watched too many horror movies, I would have poured anointing oil and holy communion on the paper and sent it back to sender 😩😩

On to the truth, I had a very different summer.. probably the most different I've had in years... Good different-- It was packed with a lot of food cooking, tasting and eating (apparently I am a foodie queen now-- that explains the amala picture above), I went to the doctors' more than I had gone in a while, I got a lot of work done, made amazing new friends and most important, I re-ignited old friendships, which brought about the resurrection of the blog.

Over the next posts, I'll be going through most of the adventures I went on this past summer. With the hope that at the end of the series, I'll get you to say "I know what you did last summer"
