Bounce the car

I decided to volunteer for the global shapers "shape Africa 2014" event. I got accepted, and one of my first "on the job" task was to pick a shaper coming from Zimbabwe from the Nnamdi Azikwe airport in Abuja.

The shaper's flight was delayed for about three hours in Lagos, meaning I patiently waited with another shaper at the airport for those hours, holding a sign-card welcoming a person we've never set our eyes upon. The extra "security measures" in place at the airport made our task more difficult, as we were only allowed to stand by the car park and no where close to the arrival exit.. We wondered how that would work, how a person just arriving will go as far as searching the car parks for their "welcomer"

While waiting, we decided to buy groundnuts from the little girls with trays of wrapped "50 Naira" groundnuts on their heads.... Before the count of two, we had about 10 girls pushing neatly wrapped groundnuts in our faces "Aunty take, I dash you" they all chorused.
Our question was why would they want to dash us groundnuts obviously wrapped and counted by their mums before leaving the house. How do they intend to explain to their parents that they dashed two aunties their source on income?

On the arrival of the shaper from Zimbabwe, we realised that our car was blocked by another car with no driver in sight.
With the help of "good samaritans" the driver tried to manoeuvre our car through a small passage but to no avail. Out of nowhere about four guys appeared and started lifting the car that was blocking our car...
They practically bounced this car out of the road, and "re-bounced" it back the minute we drove off.
I was telling the other volunteers when I got back to the venue of the event, and apparently they said it was "NORMAL".
