A random conversation with my sister some weeks ago and I found out there was a salon space going for a great price.
Apparently, the owner of the salon got married and moved to Lagos, she had some girls working for her, but trust these girls working without supervision, they started running down the lady's salon. She got tired and sent their sorry behinds home. Now she is desperately looking to rent her salon space.
It felt like a really great deal you know. Not too expensive, I'll just have to avoid spending any unnecessary money in the next few months and then hope sales will start covering costs.
How is the location? It is in Jabi, Abuja. The salon is quite beautiful, there is a make up and spa section, which the owner still runs, so I am just taking over the salon section.
however, I cant afford the whole space, seeing as I am trying to be very independent with this business (no cause to move on to public property) abi how do these obodo oyinbo visa givers say it.
I am hoping to take two out of the four available spaces.
however, the problem with this business is in finding the perfect hair stylist.
Jesu! i have met very unprofessional hair stylists in my life. The ones that gossip, act rude, e.t.c to clients.
Especially with our already dying customer service in Nigeria, the search for good stylists has bn terrible.
Hopefully, I'll get one before the end of next week, then business can commence in full force.
On that note, if you do know any really great hair stylist, please contact me....
I really believe this business can work. You know, start small and soon Dangote will not be a competition to me. *moves eyes away*
